Q: HOW DO YOU TRAIN YOUR STAFF FOR THE NEW SYSTEM?
A: Whilst we did some structured training in some of the
modules, we adopted a train-the-trainer approach. As we were
rushing headlong to try to hit deadlines, we didn’t have the
time to do the number of group sessions and workshops we would
have liked.
We did send people for specific training sessions with K3
and they supported us with almost on-the-job training. We
concentrated our training on just getting the basics done.
When we went live, there were people who had had virtually
no training. This was a vote of confidence in the system,
demonstrating that it was very user-friendly and people could
adapt to it very quickly.
