ERP systems as monolithic and inflexible
The overwhelming consensus among senior IT leaders is that
they still have a long way to go in order to maximise the
usage and adoption of their enterprise resource planning systems.
This is the conclusion of a recent Accenture systems integration
research study, which finds that organisations use just 64%
of their enterprise system’s functionality. More than a third
of the respondents (36%) admit enterprise system usage is
under-utilised in their organisations, and 27% undertake little
or no data sharing with their customers.
