Q: ARE YOU PLANNING ANY FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOFTWARE?
A: At the moment the system satisfies all our immediate
requirements and as this year will be particularly difficult,
we are not planning to add any additional functionality.
But as the economy improves and the business grows, there
are other capabilities in Maconomy that we will look to take
advantage of in the future.
For instance, when we produce an advert, the different production
departments prepare an estimate for the cost and this is what
gets billed to the client.
This estimate is currently created with a spreadsheet but
we could use Maconomy so that all the information would be
available in the central database.
In addition, they have a full project management system that
allows the allocation and tracking of resources. At present
we have to do this manually but it is an area we would like
to develop in due course.
