Even if an organisation opted for a suite that provided most
of the functionality it required, there would typically still
be a high level of integration into some of the smaller function-specific
applications that were not covered by the functionality of
the larger suite.
But as the larger suites have become more mature and functionality
has improved, their popularity has increased, especially as
many now provide the wider functionality of an ERP (enterprise
resource planning) platform.
