One of the biggest IT revolutions in recent years has been
in the area of web-based collaboration – and the first adopters
of this Web 2.0 phenomenon are today’s teenagers.
The business community have been slower to embrace the potential
benefits offered by this development in the use of the web,
partly because it challenges some of the fundamental principles
of information management and partly because it takes control
away from arguably a monopolistic information technology community.
