By contrast, having the leadership and career development
processes to ensure that this wider mix of people are all
equally encouraged to reach the top of the organisation will
be a much greater concern in the future.
In other words, the priority at the moment is encouraging
people from different ethnic groups and backgrounds to apply
to join organisations; in the future, it will be to ensure
these people are making their way up the organisational hierarchy.
