Others, though, are starting to tackle integration projects
in a different way. Many companies have realised that reinventing
the wheel every time they begin a new integration project
by developing every piece of software from scratch, is both
expensive and timeconsuming.
Consequently, 60% of respondents regard being able to re-use
software components. as a key issue for their organisation,
and 37% report that re-use is now more important to their
company than in previous years (see Figure 4).
