However, the what, when and where of data creation and use
varies significantly in different areas of an enterprise,
something that is now becoming more clear as the role of the
front office versus the back office has become established
over the last few years.
A new enterprise model is needed to establish what, where
and how these things fit together. It should indicate the
differences in the role data plays in different areas of the
business, as much as the way to move from data to response.
