Sinetica recognises that the computer network has evolved into an essential service within the business environment, on a par with utility services. Consequently, unplanned network downtime can grind an organisation to a halt as effectively as a power failure.

With environmental or physical failures being one of the major causes of unplanned downtime and data loss, Sinetica says IT professionals responsible for providing high availability networks are becoming increasingly aware of the need to protect networks at the physical level – ie, the environment that houses their computer equipment. Areas of primary concern are power, temperature and access, followed by a large number of other environmental parameters.
