Conspectus October 2005 - Summary

Web services standards have given a major boost to companies’ efforts to integrate their IT systems, bringing them closer to what PMP Research author Pat Sweet calls a ‘culture of integration’.

This change is all part of the move to ‘agile’ and open software identified by Graham Oakes. He also argues that the pressure for greater corporate governance means companies are being encouraged to establish architectural governance – which translates into building an enterprise-level integration framework.
