Lannon Rowan: new avenue for attack
Industry is now on the edge of a transformation, where web
services will change the way companies do e-business, allowing
easy, efficient, automatic web-based transactions between
buyers and sellers.
But for IT security people, this represents a real headache.
Web services will expose the core business systems that most
companies have spent the last 20 years or so trying to keep
behind high walls. Also, the traditional firewalls that have
served organisations well up until now will no longer be able
to filter out the rogue transactions from the good ones.
