The only thing we can say with certainty about today’s global
business environment is that there is no certainty.
Yet most organisations are geared up to an IT scenario where
nothing much is expected to change, and the ability to change
systems rapidly to meet market demand is almost nonexistent.
So how do organisations manage constant change and uncertainty?
Corporate size is not the main issue, but corporate philosophy
certainly is. As Charles Darwin said: “It is not the strongest
of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but
the one most responsive to change.”
