WAN links are the most likely part of a network to fail
and they are usually under the control of another supplier
organisation.
To minimise risk, it’s best to have dual links between sites,
with each link taking a physically separate path. You should
be careful to avoid having apparently separate links, only
to find they join up with a common service provider infrastructure
somewhere between the sites you’re connecting together.
