The simple message given to the project manager is that integration
is ‘infrastructure’ and they accordingly view it as an ‘on-demand’
resource. The message they are given by their development
team or third-party services company is that integration requirements
cannot be defined until later in the project, when the business
logic needed and behaviour of the application in understood.
This is rather like saying that you can’t define a service
interface until you’ve sorted out its implementation.
