Information security is firmly on the Board agenda. Three-quarters
of companies rate security as a high or very high priority
for their top management or Board of Directors. The priority
is highest in large businesses, with five in six considering
it important.
Some progress has been made in putting security controls
in place. For example, the number of UK businesses with a
security policy continues to rise. One-third of all companies,
and two-thirds of large businesses, now have one.
