Any business implementing a CRM system will have to be careful
to avoid falling foul of the Data Protection Act 1998. To
the extent that such customer data comprises ‘personal data’,
it will need to be processed in accordance with the Act.
Personal data is defined as data from which an individual
(or data subject) can be identified, or data which, when combined
with other data, can identify an individual.
