Procurement service providers are currently being used by
7% of those respondents who acknowledge a large gap between
their improvement goals and their perceived/desired capabilities.
However, 73% of this same group anticipate using service providers
by 2006.
5. Future challenges.
The research shows that companies considering using procurement
service providers believe their procurement challenges are
exceptionally daunting – particularly those that pertain to
standardised business approaches, a lack of spend-data transparency
and the ability to deal with specification changes and complexity.
