Most companies view their manufacturing and supply chain
systems as a ‘work in progress’. And while they have seen
some benefits from the greater use of technology in these
key areas, many feel that there is still a considerable way
to go.
This year’s Conspectus survey focuses on the issues
facing these supply chain and engineering companies, with
three-quarters of our respondents having board-level representation
for supply chain and manufacturing operations either via a
specially designated supply chain director (48%) or another
director (28%).
