Mike Head: HR must either shrivel up
or add value

While few companies would wish to fund such an investment
solely for the purposes of HR, if a remote application is
under development for other core business activities, it could
make sense for HR to attempt to link into this.
“It’s coming anyway, because extended communications are
linking people in through mobile technology or digital TV,
for instance. Across Europe e-payslips are far more common
than they are here, while kiosks can offer FAQs on common
issues,” Head explained.
