Organisations used to outsource non-core operations. Now internet and other technology developments mean that even core processes like HR are up for grabs. Joseph Ajuwon reports.
The organisation may consist of a number of components, such
as centres of expertise, service centres, locally embedded
specialists or external partnerships to deliver outsourced
services. Each of these will be reviewed against the original
business requirements. This may include a full review of the
outsourcing opportunities for a particular service, such as
payroll, training or even compensation.
At this stage, the organisation will also consider the skills
and competencies required of its staff, and will include a
substantial component working on the outsourced group.
