Many UK companies are improving their use of data by launching data warehousing, business intelligence and CPM initiatives. Pat Sweet reports on our latest market research.

Moreover, 62% class themselves as ‘very likely’ to use such tools in the future, with 16% reckoning they are ‘moderately likely’ to do so – which strongly suggests this is much more than a passing fad. Only 12% say adoption of BI or CPM is ‘not particularly likely’ and just 4% rule it out altogether, with 6% undecided.

This software is no longer the preserve of the experts but is becoming mainstream. While a third (33%) of respondents report that specialist analysts are the ones who usually use their BI or CPM software, a larger proportion (44%) say this technology is now routinely deployed as part of their operational applications by non-specialists.
