Mergers mark the BI market
The overall market for business intelligence and analytics
applications – including extraction, transformation and loading
(ETL) and data warehousing products – grew by 4% in 2002.
The outlook for this sector is also good. But the big news
here is that market consolidation – which began in late 2002
and rose to a crescendo in mid-2003 – is fundamentally reshaping
the vendor landscape.
