As an implementor and user of professional services automation
solutions, it seems clear to us at Phusis that within 10 years,
every organisation that sells time rather than products is
going to be running their business with a PSA system.
In the informational and service industries, we are simply
repeating the experience of IT applications development in
manufacturing – where during the 1960s and 1970s, companies
developed individual application solutions for sales, planning,
purchasing, stock, warehousing and despatch, each to the limits
of their functionality and complexity, only to see them replaced
in the 1980s and 1990s for the over-riding benefits of fully
integrated, standardised ERP applications.
