Cisco Systems recognises that consolidation has been an axiom of the IT industry from the beginning, whether it involves data centres or a wide area network. Yet organisations of all sizes face the same demands of preserving or enhancing service levels while managing the amount of available resources.
Cisco recognised this challenge in the networking environment some years ago, and developed a framework which allows an outsourcing organisation to converge data, voice and video into a single integrated system.
Outsource offering
Cisco believes that consolidating the network provides a foundation for outsource organisations to reduce the costs of building, maintaining and controlling the enterprise network. This approach also allows an outsourcing organisation to build new levels of value into the outsourcing contract.
