The recent recessionary climate has hit the IT industry harder than most, and many suppliers have been under pressure to win new business, sometimes seemingly at any cost.

However, it is doubtful whether deals done under economic duress are ultimately to the benefit of either supplier or client; the temptation to class today’s environment as a buyers’ market may be flawed if all that in fact is happening is the sowing of seeds for future disputes.
