For many organisations the issue of storage produces a mixed reaction. Whilst nearly every company rushed onto the e-business bandwagon, storage is still seen by many as secondary to business success.
The irony is that in implementing e-business solutions, many firms have ignored the need to install a flexible and effective storage solution – yet when the system goes down and the company loses valuable information and incurs serious losses, the lack of a storage system suddenly becomes a real business issue.
