Roadmap for CPM - Part 2 | Part 1
There are five major stages to charting a course for effective CPM (see Figure 1 below). At each stage, the four key elements of process, technique, technology and people need to be balanced.
As far as possible, the core stages shown in Figure 1 – Visioning, Architecture, Mapping and Formulation – should be centred on group working and facilitated workshops. These workshops should involve a diverse group of business representatives, from the most senior executives through to practitioners, from the front line through to the back office, from sales and operations to finance and IT.
