Starting small
Given all this choice, potential users of BPM applications can be forgiven for not knowing where to begin when it comes to making use of the technology for real. The advice from our experts is to think big, but start small in order to minimise risk.
“In an ideal world, an organisation would define its entire business process requirements and implement an integrated solution. The reality is that every client needs to show that the technology can deliver benefits, and so will make departmental solutions. The evolutionary change to the operation can be a small price to pay for the reduction in overall risk to the organisation,” David Martin points out.
