Factors such as the need to respond to changes in financial
regulations (28%) or regulatory requirements specific to their
industry (24%) also carry little weight. Significantly, though,
organisations are interested in taking advantage of new functionality
(58%), even if they are less enthusiastic about new technology
for its own sake (36%).
Unsurprisingly, our survey shows that virtually every company
has already wholeheartedly embraced the standard elements
of any financial package, namely general ledger, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, purchase order processing and
sales order processing.
