– which then needs interfacing into a local finance system
that consolidates these figures and processes them, before
making them available for use.
At any stage, poor process, bad training and inadequate technology
can render the information inaccurate: one client discovered
that an entire warehouse had not been accounted for in its
consolidated accounts for several years.
