Projects fail – that’s a fact of life. But too many projects fail that shouldn’t and they fail not due to a lack of technical competence by implementors nor by a lack of quality by the project management team, but through a lack of sponsorship from the very highest levels in the company.
In fact the average project is like an iceberg – 9/10ths of it lays hidden from view, and it’s this 9/10ths that can kill the project and, in some extreme cases, kill off the company as well!
