Our latest survey confirms that many UK organisations are fighting back against a rising tide of e-business and IT security breaches. Pat Sweet reports.
The message which all organisations have clearly taken onboard, however, is the need to be prepared. Only by knowing in advance what to do in the event of an unauthorised incident can organisations ensure they do everything possible to minimise risk and to respond to potential hazards quickly.
Our research found that 96% of the respondents have produced documented, pre-determined actions and plans to be followed in the event of a major server failure. A similar proportion (94%) have done the same for a major virus infection, or the loss of access to their IT site in the event of a disaster (90%).
