Over the last year, significant changes have occurred in the human resources area. Many companies have either implemented or are planning to implement an employee portal with various elements of B2E (business-to-employee) functionality. Web-based employee self-service, e-learning and e-recruitment have all appeared and companies are learning how to manage their human capital in an internet world.
To be able to fully assess the costs/benefits of B2E, an organisation must measure the performance of its current HR systems and processes and anticipate where the benefits will come from.
