We spoke to 50 companies who are either currently involved in data warehousing and business intelligence projects, or who have recently completed such a project.
The majority (40%) have turnovers ranging from £150 million to £1 billion, while 12% have turnovers of between £1 billion and £5 billion, and a further 10% have turnovers in excess of £5 billion.
The views of smaller enterprises are also represented, since 16% of our sample have a turnover of between £10 million and £50 million.
The companies come from a wide range of industry backgrounds. Close to a quarter (22%) are from banking & finance while 14% are in manufacturing and 12% in the retail business.
