The automation of engineering drawing production in stage one delivered benefits to no more than a dozen design engineers. The served community in the alliance project in stage four was a couple of hundred engineers, across a number of separate sites.
Hence the larger the network community, the greater the potential value. Geographic distance is a diminishing issue, global reach is assumed.
