Choosing the right vendor to supply your mission-critical software solutions has always been difficult.
But at least in the past, you did not have to worry about whether the vendor you picked had a strategy for the future, since this was all they ever talked about. The challenge was to find out what it was they were actually proposing to sell you: after all, the ‘next generation of software’ that they all promoted was by definition not available.
