Job Title: Systems development accountant.

The Subject: Telecoms company BT is using data transfer and integration tools to enhance the functionality and flexibility of its existing financial applications.

Q: WHAT DOES YOUR WORK INVOLVE?

A: Our department is group finance systems development and we are responsible for providing financial applications to the rest of BT. We both develop and provide the applications, and maintain operational support.

We have a limited amount of internal IT resource, with most of our IT resources provided by a separate unit within BT. Our principal job is to analyse and specify requirements.
