Collaboration conundrum
- Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
SURVEY STATISTICS
For this survey, Conspectus focused on companies in the manufacturing sector – who account for more than half (58%) of respondents overall. A further 20% of organisations were drawn from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Other companies contacted were from the telecommunications, automotive and engineering sectors.
The organisations cover a broad sweep of company size, with around a third (30%) coming from the small to medium-sized end of the market and having turnovers of between £5 million and £50 million. A quarter (26%) fall into the middle bracket of £50 million to £150 million turnover. A similar proportion (24%) have turnovers in excess of £1 billion, while 12% have a turnover which tops the £5 billion mark.
ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE underlying technology remain the same – but expectations of what it will deliver are changing radically.
That is the message coming from this year’s Conspectus survey of manufacturing systems users.
